I've launched into a flurry of activity here - I'm tweaking an old version pulled from subversion, trying to understand why there's no glitch in it. And as soon as I wrote to you that I'm going crazy, a hypothesis about the bug instantly popped up. The game glitches with a pico-error if it's run under the debugger. And behaves perfectly otherwise.
So Microsoft gets to live for now, the excuse is more or less valid after all.
